Sparkler Series

Over the past year I have been slowly branding the kiddo and I’s small wiffleball league (League of Pointball). So when we got to talking about our annual 4th of July game, my mind immediately went into motion and started brain storming alliterative names for the match-up.

After passing on Firework Frenzy, Firecracker Feud, and others, I settled on Sparkler Series.

Great name; but, as the kiddo pointed out, a series is more than one game. So the Sparkler Series tournament was born.

I dug deep into this one designing everything… Logo, social media images/templates, hype image, the trophy (handmade and etched), and even went as far as making giveaway swag for all the participants (screen printed by myself).

It was a challenge trying to come up with everything in under a week’s time

(I began working on the name on midweek (6/27) and the collateral the days afterward).

I fumbled a little bit the day of trying to be social media manager, league manager, photographer, and participant and didn’t post anything until after the games were well over and not live like anticipated; but that’s what one gets for trying to do it all.

not the greatest quality, because it was hastily hand screen printed without proper equipment that a full print house would have - flashes, proper frames, etc... (hence the smudginess of the print on the black one); but they didn't turn out too bad.

all participants were happy with them.

Overall it was a fun (quick) project. If you want to see more, like the photos and the social media templates in action, visit the league's twitter @LeagueofPB
