Where it all started | Part 3 : Design & prototype

In this series of three posts, I have described the process I follow when designing and prototyping a new product. In this final post, we will discuss the last aspect of the process, the design and prototyping phase.

The final part of the process is now to give your solution a proper shape. It's time to start polishing your experience and build prototypes to show to the rest of the world—and iterate a lot. But don't forget, after your application is built and in the hands of your users, the journey really begins. It's time to gather all the feedback you can and improve!

Moodboards

Moodboards are a perfect solution to present your ideas for the visual design of a product or service. By gathering elements that relate to your vision of the design, you can easily explain your ideas and see if the general look and feel is what the client expected.

Style guides

After defining the atmosphere, I like to work with style tiles or guides to see the general elements of the visual design.

High fidelity mockups

Based on the wireframes and the elements of visual design, I can create high-fidelity visuals to show how the finished product will look.

Digital prototypes

Because it is always better to be able to test a product as close as possible to its final version, I use powerful tools to build various types of digital prototypes.
