Build to Rent

brand identity mark created for Build to Rent and Build Local — experienced home builders offering well-designed homes, built with integrity, at an affordable price. They work with local DFW-area communities and developers to provide housing that serves as an investment in the future, and that people can be proud to call home.

Building and taking shape, both physical and figurative acts, inspired the design of this geometric identity mark for the BTR brand — a monogram of the letter “B.” The mark is constructed from simple shapes, but not quite completed, because the businesses of building, maintaining relationships and growing investments are always a work in progress. The negative space between the individual building blocks is reminiscent of a window pane, which speaks to the concept of home as well as to looking forward.
