MTG + KOB

One of my favorite things about being a designer is bringing other disciplines into my field/practice, and vice versa. In the search for a non-computer hobby, I managed to pickup Magic: The Gathering awhile back (strategy, competition, math? I’m in.) And now here I am, turning a Blue Devotion deck into a (Kind Of) Blue Devotion deck that spits out Davis and Coltrane tokens instead of silly-looking creatures. I imagine the cross-section of people into MTG, late 50s jazz, and graphic design is relatively small. But they’d be my people.
