Functionality

The Lumino Health Pharmacy is open to all Canadians. You don’t have to be a Sun Life member to use the app. It targets mostly users that have recurring medication to take and might have difficulty to get to a pharmacy or just want an easier way to manage medications.

You register with your Sun Life iD member, or by email, or by phone, or by social media. Then you get asked personal information, and if you have insurance with any company in Canada. You can scan the insurance card or enter it manually. You can even use this service without insurance. After info validation, you connect to your pharmacy and you are set to get medication delivered.

Once a prescription is approved, users can finish the prescription checkout with a credit card and get free delivery. If you have insurance benefits, you can see in the price breakdown the percentage covered by the insurance company.

Users have the option to turn ON auto re-fill to make it easier to manage medication delivery every month. Users get notifications at each steps; auto re-fill coming up, medication shipped, out for delivery and, delivered. Also, you get notification reminders to take pills. Auto re-new is available and pharmacists can connect directly with doctors to re-new medications, all done in the chat.
