Website Design & Build: Polar Balance
Polar Balance is an RV rental company that creates sustainable and affordable housing for all. They provide travel trailers and fifth wheels to those looking to stay for a short or long time.
Let's get into the nitty-gritty of turning a vision into a beautiful website.
What was the starting point?
This company started from scratch, so branding was most important. I started by creating a design brief in Milanote where all the information about the company, deliverables, and assets could live. As I make or gather work, this is where it gets collected.
Logo Design
Next was creating a logo. With the help of Procreate, I sketched out possible ideas.
After sending over two possible logos with their color palette, we landed on the logo below. I completed the finished product in Adobe Illustrator.
Designing the website
Before making the wireframe, I work with the client to create a sitemap. Based on their needs, we landed on five pages, Home, Rentals, About Us, FAQs, and Resources. Once we confirmed the pages, I created the website mood board. They wanted dark themes and to have gradient designs. And imagery that created a feeling of comfort, sleekness, and simplicity.
Creating a HiFi Wireframe was the moment the vision came to life. I focused on creating a site that looked beautiful on a desktop and was adjusted for mobile. These designs were created in Figma.
The site is still being built but will be available to view soon! Thanks for reading.
