End Sexual Harassment and Violence / #DoneWaiting
This fourth poster of the #DoneWaiting series was actually the first I created.
This poster was particularly significant to me because as I grew older and built relationships based on trust, I began to realize that almost every woman I know has experienced some form of sexual violence or harassment in her life.
This eye-opening realization has taught me the importance of empathy and taking action to support survivors.
You can do this by:
Believing and supporting them.
Being a good listener can go a long way.
Encouraging them to seek help or offering them to find resources, such as local hotlines or support groups.
Respecting their privacy and boundaries. Don't pressure them to share more than they are comfortable with or to take any action they don't want to take.
Report the harassment or violence to the appropriate authorities, if necessary. You can reach out to the human resources department if it is happening at work.
Remember that every situation is different, and it's important to approach each one with empathy, understanding, and respect.
Peace and Love to you.
