Mobile Prototyping
As a member of @Think Brownstone, I am able to play with and learn the latest product design tools to meet a variety of our clients' design challenges.
With this shot, I used Sketch to create the graphical assets and then harnessed @Pixate Studio to design the interactions and animations in a mobile environment.
As an exercise in workflow—from sketching, to Sketch, to Pixate—I wanted to showcase how easily it can be to create scrolls, springs, taps and other interactive elements.
The really nice thing is, the whole thing functions as a fully native prototype on Android and iOS mobile phones. The recording of the interactions happen within the Pixate mobile app itself—that's an actual video capture of my use of the prototype that I've then rendered into a gif for the shot.
The customer service over at Pixate is top notch. I'm a big fan of both tools for a variety of design needs.
