For Better Or For Worse

This was one of my big projects from my art class senior year. It was a graphite piece with a charcoal background.

This piece was about being stuck with someone toxic. Originally when I was sketching ideas for this piece I had barbed wire instead of the chains to show being stuck and not being able to get out because if you move or struggle you get hurt, but then I changed it to chains because I wanted it to show being stuck with someone but still being able to move, just not able to get completely away.

This is my favorite thing I've drawn and it was displayed at the public library for a few months before senior year ended.
