The Brief and Frightening Reign of Phil by George Saunders. I created this alternative book cover during my design systems class. The concept behind this cover was to focus on the mechanical features of these characters in this story. I decided to do a muted color palette as the story is set in a dystopian environment and heavily composed of dark concepts such as tyranny, deception, power abuse, and absurdity.
