Look & Feel? What is it?

I've heard it come up more and more lately when it comes to brand design. Have you heard it before? Honestly, part of me wants to scream, "there is no such thing as a look & feel!"

But I gave it some harder thought to really nail down how it should be used, if at all. What do you think?
