Gowlf Logo - Golf ball mockup

I had the privilege of collaborating with my friend on a project involving the creation of a golf logo for his fraternity, Fiji. Their heraldic emblem features a majestic snowy white owl, while the colors draw inspiration from the University of Texas, his alma mater.

Regarding the task at hand, my buddy was clear about his desire to avoid a typical fraternity brand with Greek letters and stereotypes. This provided us with an opportunity to develop something truly unique. As someone who appreciates mascot logos, I was thrilled to discover the snowy owl as an integral part of the fraternity's historical crest.

The challenge was incorporating the essence of "golf" into the design. I explored various ideas, but ultimately settled on the best layout that seamlessly blended the elements. I considered using golf clubs as wings, which had an intriguing appeal. However, with this layout, I'm particularly pleased with how the head/face and feet/tail elements harmoniously merged together.

This highlights the significance of the design process. With endless possibilities for the finer details, it was crucial to sketch and refine the concept before arriving at the final mark.
