RHP - Unique consumer-centric experience
RHP is an established insurance company based out of Houston, TX. RHP writes insurance policies through a network of 3rd party agents but does not write insurance policies directly to the general public. RHP writes insurance products primarily in Texas but plans to expand other states in the future.
RHP has asked Growthmill to develop
1. A rating engine - allowing the general public to enter information about the home they wish to insure and get a quote of the cost to insure
2. Insured Portal - a portal for insureds (customers) to log in and retrieve information about their policy, submit a claim or make a payment
3. Agent Portal - a portal for agents selling RHP insurance to log in, retrieve information about the policies sold, analyze claims and update their license information
Gathering the necessary information for the rating engine calculations
At the outset, we inquire about all the essential characteristics of the property that are required for calculating the insurance price. When the consumer enters the property address, we ask specific questions to validate the information we have gathered. This approach minimizes the risk of errors resulting from manual data entry or uncertainty. Throughout the information collection process, we maintain this user-friendly approach, ensuring a comfortable experience for consumers. By utilizing illustrations tailored specifically for each client and incorporating custom-made UI elements, we distinguish ourselves from the competition and establish a robust visual identity.

Previously, RHP's approach to generating insurance quotes required potential clients to visit one of their agent locations and request a property rating and associated cost. To enhance the user experience, we integrated this feature into our app, specifically tailoring the UX for each client. As the information collection process concludes, we provide a list of agents located closest to the property. This shift in business model enables consumers to work directly with RHP, transitioning from the traditional consumer-agent relationship.
Assuming the coverage and fine-tuning the quote
Based on the user's inputs, we determine the coverage and present three different insurance packages. Users have the option to further refine the quote according to their specific needs.
