Nike Berlin Marathon

2019 Collection

Campaign for Nike's collection inspired

by the running culture of Berlin

The collection appeared in the shops a few days before the race: jackets, t-shirts, shorts, bras, and socks. These are convenient (and elegant) garments to run, fall behind, catch up, live, and win in. These were the motifs around which we assembled our groups of motifs.

The subtle outlines and rhythmic patterns that form the abstract figures of the characters, along with the light typography stylized as vertical reflections of road markings, are based on the visual rhythm of running and the landmarks of Berlin.

First and foremost, technical necessity comes into play. When a mere three seconds can decide whether you set a new world record or not, the decorative elements on your clothing mustn't add a single gram. Even if this involves a heraldic bear rushing awkwardly to a rave or a four-horse chariot swooping down from its perch on the Brandenburg Gate.
