Logo, color, branding for ecommerce - Etsy shop
This branding project is extra special to me because, well, it's my brand!
I own an Etsy shop called Keep Growing Design Co. While the shop itself is a side hustle/passion project of mine, I used the opportunity to show my skills in branding, logo design, and graphic design.
Inspiration
I knew I wanted to include purple in my color palette somehow. It's not the most common brand color, and I like that it's associated with creativity and peace. The perfect choice for a brand centered around showing self-compassion.
When I started sketching the logo, I took inspiration from one of my houseplants, a tradescantia zebrina named Moira (after the queen herself):
I love the contrast between the deep purple and bright, silvery green colors. Plus, they work really well with neutrals.
From there, my logo was born:
Typography
My main font is Lora Regular because of its classic look. I played around with a few fonts to pair with Lora, and I ultimately decided on Montserrat Medium. The sans serif is a good contrast to Lora, and it has a nice crisp look 👇
I'm sure I'll keep iterating on this branding as long as my shop exists. My goal is for Keep Growing Design Co to be a place where I can share my message with the world in a way that reflects my personality. Sure, I do a happy dance every time I get an Etsy order, but it's also nice to have a place to learn and experiment with design and business without the pressure of tight deadlines or major financial goals.
