The art of handcrafted knives

What to do when there is a shortage of materials for making knives on the market? It is a good idea to open your own store with a premium selection! That's what Mikołaj did. Baldur is a store born out of love for attention to detail and the highest quality of materials.

Unusual materials and the highest quality

It’s a rare opportunity to create a full visual identity for someone who creates knives from mammoth teeth or prehistoric fossils, but for us there is no room for limitations! Website content must be well presented so we used two fonts that perfectly harmonize with each other, and we mixed it with subdued colors.

Love from the first… cut?

First impressions are crucial. What does Baldur say at first glance? The logo consists of a ring and a typographic part. The signet is a shape inspired by the axe, which refers to knives and Norse mythology. We used a Germanic font, associated with mythology and tradition. The overall design is minimalist and clear, which adds aesthetic value and transparency.

Traditional craftsmanship & lots of mythology!

Mikołaj wanted his brand to be associated with nature, forest and tradition. References to animals, hunting and Norse mythology are welcomed. We’ve prepared 3 unique branding proposals. Each of them aligns with Baldur's exclusive brand guidelines.

Knifemaker's dreams are coming true!

The Baldur website will satisfy true enthusiasts and the most demanding knives users. In addition to delivering handmade products and supplying the highest quality goods, it is also meant to enable quick and trouble-free contact, as well as being a source of expertise and practical tips. 

Custom knives require custom buttons!

On the website we took care of custom buttons and microinteractions, referring to the industry. Checkbox with two knives, blade-shaped buttons or a basket in the form of a knife stand are just some of them. In the background, we subtly placed runes, associated with tradition. The fire animation brings to mind the atmosphere of the forge's interior. 

Come on, get yourself a fancy knife!

We designed the website together with e-commerce. We took care of a simple and clear user path, which translates into a positive experience of the recipients. We don’t use templates for projects. The site does not hide any surprises from us, since we’ve developed it from the first line of code.

Website as fast as Thor’s lightning?

We were able to achieve this thanks to Next. js. We also created a custom checkout flow. We took care of functionality and intuitiveness at every step. It is worth noting the dedicated mechanism of cookies, which makes it not only in accordance with the law, but also with branding. Baldur-styled cookies!
