Southern Georgia Showdown - Event Logo

The new sports complex in Valdosta, Georgia wanted Snap Soccer to bring in new tournaments to help bolster sports tourism to the area. So the Southern Georgia Showdown was born.

Developing an event identity for a place that doesn't have any real visual identity is challenging. Valdosta is in the southern most part of Georgia. And if you've ever driven through this area of the south, you'll see old downtowns with aging store signs and abandoned gas stations. So I decided to go with a classic feel but with a modern aesthetic. I chose warm colors for the fall season and a classic display font.
