59 Breaths is a mobile application designed to assist users in achieving calmness and building resilience through guided breathing exercises. Our project specifically concentrated on establishing a solid foundation for habit formation, particularly during the initial two weeks of user experience. With this objective in mind, we placed significant emphasis on optimizing the onboarding process. Recognizing its vital role, we strived to deliver a seamless and engaging onboarding journey that would empower users to develop a consistent breathing routine.
Breathing Custom Pace
In line with our goal of enhancing user experience, we acknowledged that the app's default breathing tempo may not be suitable for everyone. To address this, we implemented a dedicated flow that guides users in finding their personalized breathing tempo. We recognized the significance of this customization in improving overall user satisfaction and engagement with the app.
Demo Session
As part of the onboarding process, we also introduced a demo breathing session accompanied by a short introduction that highlights the significance of breathing when managing stress. We emphasized how breathing exercises can contribute to long-term resilience against stress. In addition to improving users' understanding of our product, the demo session allows new users to experience our value proposition even before creating an account.
Adding more context
As part of our efforts to improve the onboarding process, we also redesigned the countdown on the session screen to incorporate short, informative lessons about our product. Our intention was to facilitate a more straightforward understanding of our product's core concept and enhance their overall experience. 59 Breaths is now available on AppStore.
