What is Announcement Thread?
Announcement thread is a specific thread on Bitcointalk.org that are meant to introduce a new blockchain related project. There are a specific set of rules that are meant to protect forum system and seamlessness, but those rules also limit designer choices to make the design of the thread looks good.
2.5MB File Limit for Each Image
The most significant rule is the 2.5MB file limit per image so you won't be able to post a high-resolution images. Before my era most of Bitcointalk Announcement thread was boring text with just one or two images as banner, only small amount of the thread are using full image also it's not high quality since the file limit and the designer only use 1 single image for the full thread.
I Invent & Popularize New Way of Designing Announcement Thread
I dare to say that I am the first one or at least I popularized a new way to design the Announcement Thread and work-around the 2.5MB file limit. I design the thread with some animation and split the thread into several images while maintaining the whole continuity of the thread, below are the example of one of the projects I was working on.
