App to teach CPR
Annie is an app which is aiming to help children between the age of 10 and 13 learn how to perform Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and also supporting the trainer to succesfully teach CPR.
In my third semester of my studies, I teamed up with two of my fellow students to work on this project. This involved a cooperation with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia and York University in Canada. In their lecture of „Product Design“ the Queensland students received the task of developing a new and improved mannequin to learn Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). The target group to focus on were children between 10 and 13 years old. The students at York University have been working on the interactivity of the mannequin as part of their „Interaction Design“ course. Our task at the Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt was to design an interactive interface for children and the CPR trainer to learn and teach the CPR technique. This interface should fit to the mannequins built by the QUT students.
You can watch the app in use here. If you are interested to learn more about the project, you can also read the documentation.
This project was created in collaboration with Philippa Kwaka and Sarah Sommerschuh.
