UI Design for Breakfast Company

I was a bit late to the Photoshop Generative AI party, but gave it a go just this afternoon. I was curious how interface designers could benefit from it.

One problem I run into a lot with (stock) photography, is the whitespace around an object. Take a look at the image below for example.

There is no breathing room around the object, thus making it unsuited for background images in headers for example.

I used photoshop's new generative AI feature to cut-out the object and afterwards give it a new background: "fruit bowl on a white table cloth".

The shading on the table cloth is pretty insane. I know, you can't see it on the design above.

What cool though I can use the bowl as a separate layer and place if on top of UI elements such as the menu, while also having a realistic background with correct shading (the table cloth it sits on).
