While working as the Lead UX/UI designer at Pattern, I had the privilege of redesigning the Converse Australia e-commerce site twice! The particular project I'm referring to here is the second redesign in 2019.
For this redesign, our main goal was to align Converse Australia's website with the style and functionality of its US counterpart, all while ensuring a user-friendly experience and technical feasibility on the Magento platform.
While the majority of the site's pages and UI elements were designed using Sketch, I took a slightly different approach for the homepage example layout. To bridge the gap until the CMS modules were fully developed, I created a temporary solution by assembling the layout using HTML and CSS. This allowed me to utilise interchangeable HTML embeddable modules, providing a flexible and dynamic foundation for the homepage.
In addition to the layout itself, I created comprehensive guidelines for both designers and developers. These guidelines showcased the various module types and offered insights on how to design for them effectively.
