Free-flowing Mississippi River - Dam Removal Scene
This hand-drawn river illustration scene captures a future view of the Mississippi River between the Minneapolis and St. Paul if the locks and dam structures were to be removed. The National Parks Conservation Association commissioned the illustration for a public awareness campaign around a free-flowing river in the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area between the Twin Cities in Minnesota.
LVBrown Studio used historical maps, photography, and river hydrology data to depict pre-dam river forms in a modern-day setting.
