The Ripple or... Initial Sketch

I am working on a fun collaborative t-shirt project for a local Indianapolis brand call United State of Indiana in support of the Broad Ripple Village Association. The Ripple is one of many nicknames for this area. I wanted to create a friendly and approachable lettering piece that is representative of all the good times many others and myself have had and are still having there. It is a fantastic area just north of Indianapolis and far more to offer than just it's bar scene.

This is just an initial rough sketch and still needs a lot of love. I posted in on Instagram this morning and many people have commented that it reads nipple instead of ripple. I personally didn't see that at first, but that is why I always like to share process. Sometimes we are super close to our work and don't notice these things. So it is always good to get feedback, whether it is from a trusted friend or the masses on here or any other social network.

This is very much a work in progress and all thoughts/comments are welcome as always.
