Finding a Dog Walker while being part of a community

Market research indicates a growing demand for dog walking services among busy dog owners, but many individuals struggle to find reliable dog walkers who can cater to their specific schedules, especially on short notice. For women trust was a crucial factor and furthermore they often seek a community of like-minded individuals to connect with and share their passion for dogs and outdoor activities. Safety concerns while using dog walking apps, particularly when matched with male walkers, have also been highlighted as a significant pain point.

Pack Mates provides quick and easy access to a network of trustworthy and highly skilled dog walkers with a rigorous screening process to ensure that every walker is thoroughly vetted, certified, and background checked, incorporating badges and reviews from other dog owners. You can also save favorite walkers for future walks, creating a network of trusted individuals who understand your dog's unique needs.

I believe in fostering a supportive community for women dog owners, through our platform, you can organize group activities, hikes, and meetups, creating lasting friendships and unforgettable experiences.

👩 My Role

This amazing experience let me explore product design from beginning to end leading different roles, like research, user flows, creating wireframes, making prototypes, and even building the design system and final UI.

This flow shows the onboarding process, finding accurate matches and booking a walk requesting a desired date and time.

💭 Wireframing

After collecting all the ideas, flows and needed functionalities I went into wireframing and build the visual design from there.

👁️ Visual Design

I called my app PackMates and Colors, Typography, Logo Design, and Design System Development were decided on to set the look and feel of the app.
