Political Mobile Application Graphics

Washington, DC inspires a certain kind of awe through the beauty of the incredible architecture, colorful murals, and timeless symbolism built into almost every facet of the city.

Creativity with a reverential adherence to tradition, as well as, bending the rules here and there, give rise to a special expression of creativity.

Political imagery has a unique effect on any individual who lays their eyes on it. For a designer this allows opportunities that I believe have not been investigated thoroughly in the digital space.

The designs above are for a conceptual mobile application that will solve for a lack of individual knowledge and engagement in the political processes of the United States, particularly state or local government.

The federal government's creation of a unified design language in 1971, initiated by Nixon's understanding of the power of design in politics, I set out to design an interesting and expressive onboarding flow, creating the visual mood for the rest of the application while paying homage to the Design Standards of various agencies from time's past.
