Design System - Connect UI

Project overview

I was recently tasked to redo our company's design system which is used internally by the UX/UI designers (including myself). Due to time constraints, we made the decision to leverage existing design systems. Untitled UI has been the main source of inspiration for the redo, not only for its styling but also for its documentation. All assets were recreated to align with our specific requirements.

I have been working closely with the design system developer to ensure the design system accommodates both design and dev. We have aligned on documentation and naming conventions and have already started testing components in designs and adjusted accordingly.

Ideally the future plan is that these components merely serve as a base and by using Figma's Tokens Studio plugin we would update styles instantly en effortlessly. This allows for consistency, yet with a different look and feel.
