Design and typeset: The Current State of Folk Icon Painting

A translation of the text from the first decade of the 20th century written by Nikodim. P. Kondakov, the first professor of art history in Russia, on the question of preserving the tradition of "writing" icons.

The translation is accompanied by three critical texts.

This book is part of the project: Potential of Migration. The Contribution of (Not Only) Russian Emigrants to Interwar Europe (Today), supported by Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA ČR).

The typesetting of the translation and the choice of font were inspired by the Cyrillic alphabet and the title page by the typesetting of books from the early 20th century.
