Custom Icons for Caitlin Bacher

DELIVERABLES:

1. 8 custom icons

PROCESS:

1. Sketch thumbnails to ideate the best way to present a concept

2. Build a grid and decide on a stroke weight in Adobe Illustrator to maintain consistent size and weight across icons

3. Import chosen sketch and vector

4. Export in necessary brand colors

CHALLENGES:

1. Maintaining a consistent level of detail across icons

2. Keeping all icons roughly square so they would take up the same amount of visual real estate when used together

SOLUTIONS:

1. Designed all icons within the same Illustrator file so I could see how they looked all together and adjust any that felt out of place

2. Created small flourishes and details that could be added to empty spaces in icons that were awkwardly shaped
