    One day, I had an idea to create a VST plugin GUI for a transient designer that sparked the viewer's curiosity (hence the hatch).

    Since I had drums on my mind, I thought of naming it after the drummer from my childhood idols, Kiss. Peter Criss, known for his cat-themed makeup, earned the nickname 'The Catman'.

    The name felt suitable for the GUI and as a tribute to an amazing drummer, singer, and songwriter.
