Cinderella is Furious

"Sadly, her misfortune did not end beyond the palace. A half-mile away from home, the carriage faltered once, twice, and then, quite suddenly, reverted back into a pumpkin, smashing itself to pieces. With only one glass slipper remaining, Cinderella would have to trudge home in her stockings. She was too distressed even to weep as she stood in the dark, muddy field.

It was in that moment of despair that her "Fairy Godmother" materialized with a small pop and a spray of confetti, chirping about the magnificent ball, and the gown, and the handsome Prince, even though it was plain to see that the night had not gone as planned. Cinderella became so angry that she kicked the little old fairy right in the shin."
