Levera is a modern carpentry company and custom staircase builder. The task was to create a simple and geometric logomark which nodded to the work that Levera do whilst not being too cliché with carpentry tools, wood grains, dovetail joints, etc.

I typically sketch on dotted paper which is super helpful when coming up with isometric forms, this brief was no different. I initially sketched out many different executions of an L letterform and quickly noticed than an L could be assimilated to the side profile of a set of stairs - perfect!

I worked on some versions of this idea and settled on the one you see above, it nailed the brief. I upped the stroke of the logomark on the computer and added some earthy tones to help communicate the industry Levera works in. Combining this with some slightly quirky sans-serif type, allows this logo design to live on for many, many years to come.
