Barrett Sticker Designs

The honors college wanted the graphic designers to create different swag designs that could be sold to students at the campus store. Swag designs allowed for a loosening of the brand guidelines, as long as the designs maintained the color scheme.

I originally created two sticker designs. I was inspired by license plates because my college has four campuses in different cities. The plates provided a way to indicate the city and a popular landmark that students would recognize.

The client liked my original designs for the Tempe Campus and asked if I could create stickers for the other campuses: Downtown, Polytechnic, and West. For each sticker, I made new vector art that matched the atmosphere of each campus.

I wanted to keep the colors simple since the sticker dimensions would be quite small. The black and white could attract more student buyers because the neutral colors wouldn't clash with other products. However the maroon, orange, and gold color scheme incorporated school colors and was more eye-catching.
