THE TASK __

In this project, I focused on two key aspects: addressing the challenge of finding a trustworthy dog walker and creating a visually appealing interface. The solution enables dog owners to effortlessly connect and communicate with reliable dog walkers, fostering connections among dog lovers. This visually appealing interface not only enhances the user experience but also facilitates the process of finding the perfect caregiver for their furry friends while they are away.

THE CHALLENGE __

Sometimes dog owners need a helping hand with taking care of and walking their pups. Our goal was to connect dog owners with reliable dog walkers through a cool service. We wanted to make sure dog owners could trust that their furry buddies are in good hands.

So, throughout the project, we put a lot of thought into building trust and providing peace of mind. We wanted dog owners to feel confident and relaxed, knowing that their furry friends are well taken care of.

RESEARCH __

COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS -

I felt it would be a good idea to dive into some competition to see what's out there and their strength and weakness so I can make the App more engaged in users' needs and how we stand out from them.

USER RESEARCH -

After conducting user research, we discovered a common issue among dog owners: they find it tough to trust dog walkers who aren't part of their community. What they really want is a safe, reliable, and easy way to book services for their furry buddies.

So, my goal is to create a vibe of familiarity and trust among dog owners. I'm working on adding features that promote connections and build a network of reliable dog walkers. This way, dog owners can effortlessly find trustworthy folks to take care of their dogs without any worries. Confidently booking services for their furry friends.

PAIN POINT __

πŸ«±πŸ½β€πŸ«²πŸΎ Based on the interviews, we found:

  1. Trust issues/safety concerns

  2. No verification or background check system

  3. Lack of communication between the owner and the walker

USER FLOW __

ONBOARDING -

I want people to finish the sign-up process as fast as possible to enable users to explore the app quickly before they lost interest. Clean and concise with a no sign-up/in options, so people can try the app.
(and if they like it, they can sign up for full service - Ultimately, the user will need to sign-up/in to book the services).

After collecting user feedback about the flow of the wireframes and refinements.

VISUAL DESIGN __

MOODBOARD -

To create this mood board, I sought out lively and captivating visuals and motifs. Since I’m based in the SF Bay area, I aimed to give this dog-walking app a technological edge by incorporating colors, typography, and layout, while also infusing it with a sense of style and confidence.

After incorporating the visuals into the wireframe, I made several adjustments and merged wireframes from prior weeks to showcase the best scenarios. When utilizing neon green and yellow in the layout, I must ensure that the colors do not cause excessive strain on the users.
