Overview

This app is designed for people living in Germany who love Vietnamese homemade food. With this app, users can easily order their favourite dishes from private suppliers and delivered them to their doorstep. The app offers a range of features such as Subscriptions, Updates from sellers that make ordering and managing food delivery simple and hassle-free.

Problem

The private suppliers fail to reach the buyers.

According to Facebook's latest quarterly earnings report released in April 2022, as of March 31, 2022, the platform had 2.91 billion monthly active users, and 1.91 billion daily active users on average. Many private suppliers have recognised its potential and starting their own online businesses via groups on Facebook. They joined as many groups and upload the selling-posts even whether those can reach the buyers or not. Small business owners also meet the restriction from Facebook because of its own policy for selling and buying.

This sparked the question - How to reach the buyers?

There are many potential problems for buyers from individual sellers on Facebook.

"Is there any fraud or scams?" is the most common question that most buyers think about before buying something from sellers they do not know. There is a risk of fraud or scams, where the seller may misrepresent the food or take payment without delivering the food. Additionally the quality of the food or customer support.

This raises the question - How to help buyers easily to make buying decisions from strangers sellers?

Design Strategy

Based on my experience, there is a high demand for authentic Vietnamese cuisine among Vietnamese people living oversea.

However, due to their busy schedules, they may not have the time to prepare meals themselves or may struggle to find a restaurant that offers truly authentic Vietnamese dishes. With the recommendation to me of friends, I have discovered private food suppliers on Facebook. However, it can be difficult to determine the quality and reliability of these suppliers.

With this in mind, I am seeking to design a unique app specifically tailored to people living in Germany like me who love authentic Vietnamese food and frequently use Facebook community groups to order food for delivery from private suppliers.

The main goal of the app is to simplify the process of managing food orders while providing private suppliers on the Facebook platform with a valuable opportunity to expand their businesses. The app will allow users to easily manage their orders and browse private suppliers based on quality, reliability, and price point.
