Blender 2.8 is Prime Time

Blender 2.8 finally fixed the near-impossible UI and made the program actually usable. Testing various materials and surfaces using the Cycles and Eevee renderers.

Viewport Rendering with Eevee

Realtime viewport rendering with Eevee is incredibly impressive — reflection, refraction, shadows, bloom, subsurface, depth of field, hdri, volumetrics … with real-time performance.

Cycles Renderer

The new Cycles physically-based renderer produces pretty good results right out of the box. I have limited experience with the Blender shaders but the results still came out nicely with a medium amount of effort.
