Descartes & Spinoza

Descartes was the most important philosopher of modern era. He wrote and published "Meditations on First Philosophy" in 1641 about God's existence through cogito. But Spinoza, a jewish dutch philosopher, published "Ethics" in 1677 and he demostrated God's existence through definitions and axioms, only saying God exist because God is the substance comprising the universe and he exist in itself.
