Redesigning Comundo for Improved User Experience and Increased Conversion Rate
Context
Comundo is a product that provides solutions to reduce CO₂ emissions through CO₂ accounting, reduction, and compensation. With the introduction of new legislation and increasing demand for user-friendly, affordable, and efficient tools, Comundo aimed to enhance its existing product's user experience (UX) and user interface (UI).
Objective
The primary objective of this case study was to conduct comprehensive research, increase the conversion rate, and improve the UX/UI of the existing Comundo product. The focus was on understanding user pain points, conducting interviews with stakeholders, product managers, and customers, and aligning the design with customer expectations.
Research and Empathy
To gain a deeper understanding of the product and its users, we conducted interviews with Comundo stakeholders, product managers, and customers. Our research aimed to address the following points:
User Experience: We explored the experiences of existing users with the product to identify pain points and areas for improvement.
Necessary Improvements: We sought to understand specific aspects of the product that required enhancements from the users' perspective.
User Expectations: By gathering user feedback, we aimed to align the product with user expectations and preferences.
In addition, a comprehensive analysis of competitors was conducted to understand the market landscape, identify points of differentiation, and recognize similarities and opportunities for improvement.
Design Approach
Building upon the existing brand identity of Comundo, our design team developed a design system that aligned with the brand's visual language and principles. The design process followed these key steps:
Web Design: We started by focusing on improving the web design of the Comundo product. The aim was to create a visually appealing and intuitive interface that would resonate with users.
Responsive Design: Recognizing the importance of accessibility and a seamless experience across different devices, we ensured that the redesigned interface was responsive and optimized for various screen sizes and resolutions.
Implementation and Testing
The iterative design process involved continuous collaboration with the development team to ensure a smooth implementation of the redesigned UI/UX. The new designs were converted into interactive prototypes, allowing us to conduct usability testing with Comundo's target users. This feedback loop enabled us to gather insights, refine the designs, and improve the overall user experience.
