Client

The client is Moon, they are a new up-and-coming startup with the goal of revolutionizing the NFT marketplace with a design-first approach and a deeply curated experience for the users.

Objective

Establish visual language of this new NFT marketplace app that is ready to revolutionize the digital art scene. Lock a visual aesthetic and then scale the design on multiple screens, based on the wireframes and the flow that is provided from the client. Build a UI Library of the final UI and create a functional prototype.

Key Details

Project timeline is divided into 3 weeks of work. The first part of the first week will be focused on research and benchmarking, the second part will be focused on moodboard creation and initial visual exploration.

Visual Exploration

Moodboard 1

Stark color differences, pops of color on black or white backgrounds. Items outlined in black or drop shadows of color gradients.

Moodboard 2

Futuristic and dark. Many featured high transparency of the components.

Design phase

The path I chose was to follow moodboard 1 while being inspired by moodboard 2. I chose a dark non-black background color and a very high contrasting lighter color to alternate on all components. With the result looking like many layers of two colors on top of each other. With just one other color used sparingly the pages are consistent and smooth.
