Mosaik Logo Redesign - Option 1

Here goes! My first dribble and it's a question for you all. I'm a print and web designer and it's time for me to redesign my logo. I have 2 options so far and this is option 1. I'd love some feedback on this and my next shot, which will be option 2, about colors, fonts and preference. The idea behind Mosaik is I can design and put together all facets of a company's brand - identity, advertising, web (from design to front-end code and CMS integration), etc, to create a "total image solution". The offset piece of mosaic is representing me placing the final piece into the mosaic to complete the image and harks to my previous logo.
