Metric System Czech Dark Lager - Beer Label Designed for Monument City Brewing

Monument City Brewing Co. in Baltimore, MD needed a label that conveyed the craftsmanship and hard work that goes into brewing a beer. Tools of the trade in the beer industry are typically in metric, hence the name of this lager. The artwork on the packaging is hand-drawn to emphasize the craft and add an authentic and traditional feel to the beer label itself. The artwork is drawn using pen and ink and a technique called stippling. Here, all dots are used to illustrate the ruler, the shadow of the compass and surrounding contrast around the 2B pencil. The sepia tones of the illustration and vintage paper hue adds a timeless look while elevating the branding of the label. 

This beer label has no problem standing out on the shelf. A top seller, this brew was originally offered in 16oz cans, then re-released the following year in 12oz 6-packs.
