SDG 4 - Quality Education
SDG 4 aims to ensure inclusive and equitable education for everyone. A fundamental right and requirement, it is one of the most essential tools to improve the world. We have approached this standalone SDG design with a horizontal layout representing a book, signifying quality education.
Education, especially quality education, is not just a matter of resource availability, but of tough and sometimes almost unchangeable circumstances where survival itself would be critical. You can only educate if alive.
Quality education, or any education for that matter, often encounters roadblocks because of challenging circumstances where bare survival hangs by a thread.
Next comes the cost of education, accompanied by the need for more awareness to prioritize education in the face of challenging situations and a lack of family support.
Literacy and education are distinct but related concepts. Gender, poverty, geography, and aptitude are some of the factors that can hugely influence access to quality education. But progress, however small, begins the moment a child is enrolled in a school and starts attending daily.
While clarity is the key to setting concrete goals, inspiration drives goals into development. Finally, with perseverance, do those goals become sustainable.
