Tier 2 Product Design
Good design is one that helps users complete their tasks comfortably. Not all designs can be uniform. I learned this when working on designs for tier 2 markets (non-tech savvy). They are very sensitive to a process. Once we implemented an attractive design, it actually made them abandon our product.
Should we force them? Of course not. We should try to redefine the design we create to help them. Breaking down the registration process has proven to help improve user retention.
In conclusion, "good visuals without a good experience is nothing."
