Doppler Spectroscopy
Designed an illustration for my summer research class. The image represents Doppler Positron Facility Setup. We use 22Na positron source that undergoes a beta-decay. Positrons are thermalized in a specimen and annihilate with electrons. As a result, two anti-parallel 511 KeV photons are born and registered by High Purity Germanium Detectors (HPGD). Lynx Multi-Channel Analyzers (MCA) accumulate correspondant signals with respect to the photon energies and build spectra.
