Artemis ✨🌙

✨🌙 Artemis, goddess of the hunt, the moon, and protector of nature. This is the companion piece to my Orion drawing. In my version of the myth, Artemis and Orion are close partners, not as lovers, but as friends. Deeply connected through their shared identities as hunters and protectors.

I based her appearance on real historical female warriors from Africa and North America. And while the original myths describe her as a goddess of chastity and virginity, I prefer to think of her as a symbol of female power like a lioness: mother, hunter, and protector.
