Case Study: Website Design
Overview
Alarmco is a security company that specializes in providing security systems and services for both residential and commercial customers. The company offers a wide range of security products, including burglar alarms, fire alarms, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and more.
The Challenge
The project aimed to create a modern, user-friendly website that showcases the company's products and services. The previous site design was not generating any leads, and the company recognized the importance of a website but was unsure how to incorporate it into its sales funnel.
The Solution
To improve the website, I first conducted an audit to identify areas for improvement. In order to do this, I analyzed the website's design, content, and technical aspects. Upon examination, I found that the previous site was not designed with basic conversion in mind, which posed a significant issue for potential customers. To address this, I recommended implementing call-to-action buttons and simplifying the navigation menu to guide users toward the desired action.
In addition to the design, the SEO of the website was not properly set up. While the website contained relevant keywords, the use of multiple contents on one page would hurt SEO. To improve this, I suggested breaking up content into different pages and optimizing each page for specific keywords. This would improve the website's visibility in search engine results pages and increase organic traffic.
Finally, analytics had not been set up to track site activity. Without analytics, it is difficult to measure the website's performance and make data-driven decisions. I recommended implementing Google Analytics to track site traffic, user behavior, and other key metrics. With this data, we can make informed decisions about future improvements to the website.
Results
Overall, the project achieved its goal of improving conversions and generating more leads. In the first three months, the sales team closed two accounts, resulting in an ROI of 2x the investment in the site redesign. By continuing to monitor and optimize the website, the company can ensure that it continues to perform well and meet the needs of its customers.
