I am happy to share a case study for the action builder we designed for Doss.

What is Doss?

Doss is building an Adaptive Resource Platform (ARP), which serves as a record system for companies with physical operations. It’s an alternative to traditional ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, allowing companies to onboard within minutes, without the need to implement, debug, and huge set-up costs. Doss integrates with the operations tool stack like Shopify, Flexport, ShipStation, Xero, and Quickbooks.

Challenge

One of the user scenarios we designed is meant to create an action that will automatically send a report with filtered specific data from the Doss application to individual people. The main challenge was making the flow simple and easy to follow.

The user will start by choosing the action type, depending on the amount of integrations, they will see different actions to select.

The next step is to choose the right file. Icons represent the type of files, which the user can quickly preview - to be sure that it is the correct choice.

From the simple logic builder, we can choose what kind of information we want to send in our email report - for example only orders with “pending” status.

In the last step, we have the possibility to send a test email, to be sure that everything works perfectly.
