Design System & Site | Sonae Sierra's Shopping Centers

Context

Sonae Sierra owns numerous shopping centers and markets in the Iberian Peninsula as well as in other European countries, such as Germany, Greece or Romania.

So that all these entities are aligned under Sonae's banner, the client required a new approach to grant coherence between all the websites.

This led us to a construction of a modular system and a design system, which allows a huge number of template configurations, according to the needs of each shopping center.

Goals

- Standardise the design of all shopping center websites.

- Create a system that can be understood and used by all stakeholders: clients, designers, project managers and developers.

Colours ⌃

Black and white are the main colours of the websites, in order to highlight the imagery content. Each shopping center/market has its own accent colour, which appear in elements such as labels, buttons or selectors.

The three shades of grey are for backgrounds, hovers or small details.

Services Offer ⌃

The offer of services in each shopping centre/market changes according to its typology, whether it is large or small one. Their availability may also vary. It is possible to remove some or add new ones.
