Challenge

Accessibility is a must in design. You should pay attention to all users, whether with a disability or not. Therefore I decided to challenge myself and design a Braille Clock for blind people.

Challenge Specifications

Here is some of the specification which I attended to while designing this clock:

• Easy to understand for blind people

• The voice assistant isn't the best way

• They should adjust the clock with the most straightforward mental model

• Set the alarm in a quick way

• Set a repetitive alarm for weekly days to avoid mistakes

• Understandable for non-blind people to help them

• Fewer keys and features

• Fewer actions and functional buttons

Front View

In the front view, the blind person can check the clock and use a voice assistant. I put a small braille monitor that can give feedback on vital commands such as sat alarm and more.

Back View

For the back view, I designed some dials for adjusting alarms and seven buttons for repetitive alarms for a week.
