Luxury Banana Carriers

Lately, while I’ve had time off I’ve wanted to work on unnecessary branding projects where I create unnecessary branding or packaging for products that don’t need it. I think there is a lot of opportunity for weird, interesting, or funny solutions to branding products that usually aren’t branded. My first thought was to do a bunch of bananas. The irregular, lumpy surface area would be technical, and the packaging would be immensely wasteful and totally unnecessary. As I began this project, it slowly evolved into something completely different and even more unnecessary. Using Photoshop I manipulated a Poppy Lissiman and Coach purse into luxury banana carriers. These are probably the most unnecessary things I’ve seen let alone created. But would I buy one? Absolutely!
